Larnaca Town

The third largest city in Cyprus is built on the ruins of ancient Citium and is best known for its palm-tree seafront ‘Finikoudes’. A 600-metre long stretch with distinctive, towering palm trees planted in the 1920s, combines coast, entertainment and culture and has become the landmark of the city attracting large crowds both day and night. The highlight of this trip is the visit to St. Lazarus church. Situated in the centre of Larnaca, the magnificent early 10th century stone church is one of the most important surviving Byzantine monuments on the island.
